This unit focuses on how Indigenous peoples express who they are through their culture, traditions, and stories.



Students learn about art, music, storytelling, dance, and language as ways to show identity and keep culture alive. The unit also explores how traditions are being renewed today and how Indigenous people continue to practice and adapt their culture in modern life. Students see how stories and cultural expressions teach values, history, and lessons from the past. By the end of the unit, students understand how
culture and identity are connected and why it is important to respect and celebrate Indigenous traditions.
